For young children, the start of their education really begins at home. Powered by instinct, a developing child will explore their surroundings, investigate different objects and ask many questions. Children are natural learners as they display curiosity, motivation and a readiness to learn in their developing years. Unfortunately, this drive of learning diminishes as they grow older. With unengaging curriculum in schools, children lose their motivation and eagerness to learn. And as a result, their potential stays dormant – unused and forgotten.
At French After School Montessori & Mental Maths Abacus, we see the natural potential in each of our students and help them grow to be highly successful, independent and motivated learners. Our program is designed to engage students in fun and interactive learning experiences that teach the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.
With a focus on the French Language and Mental Mathematics, our goal is to support students of all levels and cater to their diverse learning needs to ensure a positive learning experience for them. We aim to create a space for children that unleashes their curiosity, embraces their individuality and supports their creativity. We believe this nurturing environment will allow for students to blossom in their potential to learn and grow. Drawing from both Montessori and Syllabic teaching methods, we aim to make French learning, Mental Math and Abacus accessible to you and your family.
Learning looks different for everyone. That is why we always determine the needs of each child and adapt our curriculum to the student to help them reach their full potential. We strive to make learning accessible for everyone.
Students retain more information when they are enjoying the material. Our programs are catered to be interactive, collaborative and joyful experiences that bring out the natural instinct to learn. We work to make learning fun and beneficial.
It’s important to recognize the small (and big!) leaps that a child accomplishes to boost their confidence. Encouragement is one of the most powerful tools in the classroom and is often the key to unlocking untapped potential in children, especially those who are hesitant or reluctant.
